Rob W

How old are you?
46

What is your gender?
Male

According to some, bugger all, but Contract Cleaning Supervisor is the official title

What Stand do you sit in?
North Lower

How long have you been going to Villa Park?
Originally late 60's with Dad, on my own since '76

Can you describe some of your favourite goals?
Not really, too many to say.......but JPA's first against the Felchers was memorable. As was Savo's at Wembley '96

Can you tell us about your favourite players?
Brian Little will always be number one. Also loved God, Savo, JPA, Shaun Teale, Platty til he buggered off. Probably too many to mention.

What are your favourite Villa-related moments?
Tranmere semi was incredible. Wembley '94 was brilliant too. Hammering the dirty inbreds 5-1 was pretty memorable as well.

Why are you a Villa fan?
Grandfather on both sides was Villa, Dad was Villa, family used to live 5 minutes walk from the ground. I'm so glad about that!

What incidents have you been present at (on/off field)?
Attended numerous Ellis Out rallies....it worked eventually!

What has been your worst ever Villa-related moment?
Wembley 2000 was horrendous....after that I reckon 03/03/03

Why do you continue to support the club?
It's in the blood, I take my son now like my Dad took me

How and why did you come to support Aston Villa?
As above.......generations of my family on both my Mother and Father's side were staunch Villans

What is your first memory of the club?
Seeing Villa play Torquay in division 3, and Dick Edwards getting abuse because he was an ex-Villan

How long have you supported Aston Villa?
35+ years

Do you 'follow' any other clubs?
No, not in the slightest

What teams in other sports do you support?
Cleveland Browns due to the "Randy Factor"

Do you go Home, Away, both or are you an armchair/pub supporter? Why?
Just home - away matches are too expensive

Have you ever been 'inside' the ground and if so, what impressed you the most?
Yes, had a wander around before a youth cup game last season against Arsenal......the place is magnificent.

What are the views of your friends and family to your supporting Aston Villa?
All my family and friends are Villa except my brother in law who is a Plastic Manc!

Have you ever supported/followed another club? If so, what made you change your allegiance?
No, what a daft question

Do you feel that away games are for the fan or the family?
Definitely the fan.

What changes have you seen that are for the better/worse (prices, atmosphere, obscenities, TV, fans etc)?
Seating has killed a lot of the atmosphere, even though I like sitting down in my old age. Prices are too high, although at Villa they are very reasonable. Sky are the ones that have fucked up the game, changing kick off times and pandering to the "Big Four". I'd love it if Sky went bust.
